The Kerala Story 2 closed its first seven days in cinemas with an estimated net of ₹ 22.34 Cr across all languages, as early numbers for Day 7 suggested a drop to ₹ 2.19 Cr, after a mid-week surge had briefly lifted its daily earnings, according to a report in Sacnilk.

The opening week showed sharp swings in performance, with the film jumping from a modest ₹ 0.75 Cr on Day 1 to ₹ 4.65 Cr on Day 2, a 520.00% rise, before touching ₹ 4.75 Cr on Day 3 and then facing a steep fall on the following Monday.

The Kerala Story 2 box office collection trends across first week

After the Sunday peak of ₹ 4.75 Cr, Monday collections slipped to ₹ 2.5 Cr, reflecting a 47.37% decline, but the film recovered quickly on Tuesday with ₹ 4 Cr, followed by ₹ 3.5 Cr on Wednesday, before early estimates pointed to ₹ 2.19 Cr on Thursday.

The seventh day, with its ₹ 2.19 Cr early estimate, marked one of the weaker weekdays in the film’s first week run, yet the steady contributions from the second to the sixth day helped The Kerala Story 2 push its all-language net beyond the ₹ 22 Cr mark by the end of Thursday.

With weekday earnings easing after mid-week highs, The Kerala Story 2 finished its opening week with ₹ 22.34 Crore net. The film starring Aditi Bhatia and Ulka Gupta failed to even touch the Rs 25-crore mark in the first week, signalling that TKS 2 has somehow failed to entice the audience.

While The Kerala Story 1, released in 2023, had already earned over Rs 80 crore in the first week, the second installment is struggling at the box office.
