Aditi Govitrikar Reveals How Marvelous Mrs India 2023 Is Different From Other Beauty Pageants- EXCLUSIVE

She is a beauty with brains, India's first-ever Mrs. World. There's no prize for guessing that we are talking about Aditi Govitrikar. The actress and model, who is known for being the only supermodel to boast of medical doctor and psychologist qualifications, has added another feather to her cap.

Earlier this month, the tinsel town diva launched a new pageant that has invited all the married ladies. Titled Marvelous Mrs. India 2023, the pageant is open for all married women including divorced, separated and widowed ladies. As she gears up for another path-breaking initiative, Aditi exclusively talked to Filmibeat about her inspiration, how Marvelous Mrs India is different from other pageants and a lot more.

1- Could you share with us the inspiration behind launching the beauty pageant, Mrs. Marvelous India 2023, and what motivated you to create this platform for women?

My vision for Marvelous Mrs India is to transform, elevate and empower women beyond the pageant stage, and celebrate their diverse journeys as the contestants come from all walks of life across India. Having experienced a transformative journey myself and winning the Mrs. World title, I feel compelled to share this empowering experience with others who aspire to achieve greatness in their lives. As for the program structure, I have carefully designed to equip participants not just for the show finale, but also make them emerge as a stronger, more confident version of themselves.

2-As an accomplished actress, what challenges did you face when transitioning from the world of acting to becoming an entrepreneur with your beauty pageant venture?

Challenges are a part of everything. It's what makes life interesting. As for the challenges, I'm currently facing as an entrepreneur with my pageant, it has to be the sheer number of things you need to be on top of to ensure the pageant happens smoothly. The sleepless nights, running around, hard work, and coordination.. Wow! However, if you only look at how much learning happens when you take the plunge to do something yourself, despite the outcome, it's all worth it. Although I'm hoping the outcome of this venture will be positive.

3- What unique qualities and characteristics are you looking for in the contestants of Mrs. Marvelous India 2023, and how do you envision this pageant empowering women across the nation?

To keep this pageant inclusive, without the stereotypical criteria of a certain height or weight, Marvelous Mrs India aims to look at women's individuality more than just the physical form of someone. The idea is to get women to embrace their true selves, their talents, be confident in who they are. It's for all those women who have had a passion for pageants or the runway but couldn't act upon their dreams earlier. I truly believe marriage or motherhood doesn't limit women. I am looking for those dreamers who can come forward and be that kind of positive role model that will inspire generations to come to chase after their dreams.

4- The beauty pageant industry has faced criticism for perpetuating certain beauty standards. How is Mrs. Marvelous India 2023 different, and how do you plan to promote diversity and inclusivity in the competition?

As I mentioned earlier, while beauty pageants focus more upon a certain beauty standard, Marvelous Mrs India has kept no such entry criteria as we understand every woman is unique and has a distinctive story to tell. Things like passion and dreams are boundless and cannot be confined to any specific boundaries or limitations. So why should a pageant limit anyone? I am welcoming any woman from an Indian origin to join and unleash her full potential in order to create a life of purpose and fulfilment.

5- How do you believe the Mrs. Marvelous India pageant can contribute to the empowerment and advancement of women in various fields and industries?

By challenging traditional stereotypes, and by highlighting the participant's accomplishments, talents, and skills; Marvelous Mrs India covers empowering women under multiple categories. Aspects like Physical, Mental, Emotional, Social, Intellectual, and Spiritual wellbeing among others will be worked upon on a daily basis to improve resilience and to ensure the participant's overall growth. I keep saying, MMI is not just a pageant, with this venture I aim to encourage women from various walks of life, backgrounds, and professions to recognize their strengths and embrace it.

The pageant will also provide the participants with networking opportunities and industry exposure that will help them explore new career paths and life opportunities. I want every contestant entering to feel so empowered that they become inspiring role models for other women who wish to pursue their dreams and aspirations.

6- As a trailblazer in the entertainment industry and now in the beauty pageant world, what advice would you give to women who aspire to become successful entrepreneurs and make a difference in their communities?

I think to succeed in anything, the first thing you need to be is adaptable and open to learning. Life is constantly teaching us new things. As an entrepreneur, you must know that business landscapes evolve ever so rapidly; where strategies, market trends and customer needs change often. Besides that, you must believe in yourself. Having confidence in your talents & skills, your passion and achievements plays a very important role in exceling. You have to then plan strategically, take calculated risks as you balance your work and life. Having a strong support system is also super crucial.

7- Hosting a national-level beauty pageant requires meticulous planning and execution. What are some of the challenges you are facing while organizing Mrs. Marvelous India 2023, and how did you overcome them?

Indeed, there's a lot that goes into planning a national-level pageant. From getting collaborations, to shortlisting hotels and practice halls; from inviting expert guests to the final jury panel. It's endless coordination and cracking mini deals day after day. Plus, the whole training will be quite an exciting phase, getting to know every contestant on a personal level. As challenging as putting this pageant together feels, I'm positive/hopeful it will be extremely fulfilling for everyone associated.

8- Finally, what message do you want to send out to all the women who are planning to participate in Mrs. Marvelous India 2023, and how do you believe this experience can be transformative for them?

Marriage or motherhood marks a new chapter in your journey called life, but it's certainly not the end. Your dreams and aspirations hold tremendous value, and you, as an individual, matter. Embrace your potential for the world deserves to see the extraordinary person you are meant to be. Dream big and shine brighter.

9-What are your upcoming projects?

A lot of events are in the pipeline, be it corporate workshops, inaugurations, judging beauty pageants and shows. I am excited for Mismatched 3 as it has been approved by Netflix. I recently shot a film for Shemaroo called Glam Girls, looking forward to it.
