National Film Awards 2024: Rajshri Productions recently celebrated its 75th anniversary, marking its legacy as one of the oldest and most prestigious production houses in Indian cinema. Recently, acclaimed director Sooraj R Barjatya received the Best Director award for his film 'Uunchai' at the 70th National Film Awards. Upon receiving this honour, Barjatya expressed his gratitude by dedicating the award to Rajshri Productions and his family. Filmmaker Mahaveer Jain shared a heart-warming video from the film's trailer launch, which was re-shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

Sharing the video, Taran wrote, "This honour belongs to 75 years of Goodness and Values of #Rajshri... #SoorajRBarjatya won the most coveted award, Best Director, at the 70th National Film Awards. Sooraj ji - while dedicating the award - said, "#Uunchai was a special film made in the 75th year of Rajshri Productions. I dedicate this award to all my elders in the family and Rajshri Productions."

Another part of Taran Adarsh's caption read, "On this occasion, producer #MahaveerJain shared his heartfelt emotional video from the trailer launch of #Uunchai, emphasising on the rich contributions of #Barjatyas and #Rajshri."

Reflecting on the moment, Sooraj R Barjatya said, "'Uunchai' was a special film, created in the 75th year of Rajshri Productions. I dedicate this award to all my elders in the family and to Rajshri Productions."

On the work front, Mahaveer Jain is preparing for the release of a slice-of-life film 'Binny and Family', which marks the debut of Anjini Dhawan. The film marks a collaboration between Ektaa R Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms, Mahaveer Jain Films, and Waveband Productions, along with Shashank Khaitan and Mrighdeep Lamba. It is set to release on August 30. Apart from this, Jain is teaming up with director Siddharth Anand to produce an international thriller based on a real-life incident involving humanitarian and spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. Another project includes a collaboration with Akshay Kumar and 'Fukrey' director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba. The project is reportedly scheduled to go on floors in the first quarter of 2025.
