Legendary TV Ramayan Creator Ramanand Sagar’s Son Moti Sagar Praises Ranbir Kapoor's First Glimpse In Ramayana
Ramayana, the epic two-part cinematic retelling of one of India's most revered mythological sagas, continues to build monumental anticipation across the country. The excitement soared recently when the makers unveiled the first glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama in a grand multi-city launch on Hanuman Jayanthi, giving audiences their first immersive look into the film's expansive cinematic universe. The unveiling triggered widespread buzz across platforms, with viewers and industry voices alike applauding the film's visual ambition and Ranbir's striking transformation into the revered character.

Amid the overwhelming appreciation, veteran filmmaker and television producer Moti Sagar, son of legendary filmmaker Ramanand Sagar, creator of the iconic 1987 television classic Ramayan, also shared his thoughts on the first glimpse, praising both the scale of the project and Ranbir Kapoor's portrayal.
Praising Ranbir Kapoor, Moti Sagar said,
"I expect something very good from 'Ramayana' as he is one of the best actors we have today as far as performances are concerned, including getting the emotions. He is such a class actor and has so much depth. But you cannot judge anything from this teaser."
He further added,
"The actor has got so much depth in his performance. He must have gone very deep into this character. So, I would like to see the whole film and then comment. I'm expecting something very good from this film."
Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Rocking Star Yash as Formidable Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios in association with 8-time Oscar-winning DNEG and Yash's Monster Mind Creations, the two-part epic will release in IMAX worldwide - Part 1 in Diwali 2026 and Part 2 in Diwali 2027.
