Buzz around historical drama Raja Shivaji grows stronger as Ajay Devgn publicly backs the film. The project, led, written and produced by Riteish Vilasrao Deshmukh, is scheduled to reach cinemas worldwide on 1 May 2026 in Marathi, Hindi and Telugu languages.

Ajay Devgn, who played the title role in Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior in 2020, linked that character to Raja Shivaji. Sharing the Hindi version of the Raja Shivaji anthem “Chhatrapati” on Instagram stories, Ajay Devgn wrote, "Tanhya chya naman, Raje! This looks incredible!
