'Trillion Game' Live-Action Movie Teaser, Release Date Confirmed

The official Japanese 'Trillion Game' YouTube channel just recently posted a teaser for the upcoming live-action adaptation film of the manga by the same name. The teaser also had the release date for the film confirmed to be February 14th, 2025.

The movie will include cast members from the original 2023 T.V. drama series, such as Ren Meguro and Hayato Sano once again taking on the roles of protagonists Haru Tennouji and Manabu Taira respectively. Other cast members who will be returning from the T.V. drama series includes Mio Imada as Kirika Kokuryu, Riko Fukumoto as Rinrin Takahashi, and Koji Kikkawa as Kazuki Kedouin.

This does not mean that the film will be continuing the plot of the original live-action series. While the film may make references to the original plot, it plans to tell a mostly self-contained, original story. The company of the protagonists, 'The Trillion Game Company' will be looking into building Japan's first casino resort. While this may seem like an easy task for Japan's biggest companies, there will be trials and tribulations that the cast of characters must be able to overcome if they wish to maintain their status.

The original manga author, Riichiro Inagaki will be part of the production of the film to make sure it stays faithful to the source material. He initially released the manga, with illustrations by Ryoichi Ikegami, in 2020. An anime series is also in the works and is set to release in just a few months, in October 2024 and will most probably be available on Crunchyroll.

But to do so, they'll need to take full advantage of their own unique skills. Haru is a persuasive and confident speaker who can connect with anyone, while Gaku, although awkward, is an expert programmer. Will their combined talents be enough to make their dream a reality?"
