In Cinemas Worldwide from April 23, 2026," wrote leading man Mammootty, who shared the second look poster on his official social media handles. The new poster features the megastar, along with Mohanlal and Kunchacko Boban.

Even though both the Mammootty and Mohanlal fans on the internet are more than happy to finally receive a power-packed update on the film, a major section of the audiences are highly disappointed. Many of the cinephiles feel that the Mahesh Narayanan directorial's second look poster looks like a work of Artificial Intelligence. "The Patriot poster looks AI generated," wrote a cinephile on X.

This allegation raised mainly because of the posture of Mohanlal, and the superstar's apparently "missing legs". However, both the loyal fans of Mammootty and Mohanlal, and the Patriot team immediately jumped for the Patriot second look's defense. The team dropped a new BTS still from the location of the upcoming Mahesh Narayanan directorial, and confirmed that the poster is not AI created.

Mammootty is set to play the lead role in the Mahesh Narayanan directorial, which stars Mohanlal in a pivotal role. Fahadh Faasil reportedly appears as the lead antagonist in Patriot, which stars Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, Revathi, Darshana Rajendran, and others in the key roles. Manush Nandan is the director of photography. Sushin Shyam composes the music score. Mahesh Narayanan himself handles the editing of the film.
