Mihir Ahuja On His Character In Pyar Paisa Profit: It’s A Very Complex Character… It Was Challenging…

Mihir Ahuja is seen as Abhijit in Yash and Mamta Patnaik's Inspire Films' Pyar Paisa Profit, which is based on Durjoy Datta's popular novel Now That You're Rich, Let's Fall in Love. The show explores the competitive world of venture capitalism and dives deep into ambition and temptation. The actor confessed that it was not an easy character to play, especially his grey side.

Talking about his character, Mihir shared, "My character's name is Abhijit. He hails from a small area in Delhi and comes from a middle-class family. He's ambitious and passionate about achieving something big in life. Eventually, he moves to Mumbai and starts working in a venture capitalist firm." He further said that the show represents that taking shortcuts can often lead you down the wrong path and added, "Abhijit uses shortcuts-he backstabs a colleague to get ahead, which, as we see, leads to his downfall. So, it's a very complex character. To be honest, it was challenging to portray his grey side, but overall, it's a wonderful role with a strong arc in the story."

And he couldn't resonate much with the role, unlike the ones he has played before. He said, "There are very few similarities between me and Abhijit. In most of my previous roles, I could relate to the character in some way. But here, Abhijit is someone who backstabs his colleagues and takes shortcuts to get ahead-that's not something I would ever do in real life." However, when it came to the few things he could connect with, he said, "I do relate to and admire his ambition, his work ethic, and his hunger for success. Those are qualities I believe I also possess."

And portraying the grey side of him was a challenge for him. "Portraying the grey side of Abhijit-his morally wrong actions-was a bit difficult. We had workshops to explore those aspects of the character. But with the help of Prashant Singh, our director, we really broke the character down and understood what needed to be portrayed. His guidance helped me bring authenticity to the performance," Mihir concluded.
