Now, the Ghilli re-release is creating yet another storm at the box office, especially in Tamil Nadu. The lack promising new Tamil releases is highly favouring Vijay's celebrated film, and the fans are more than happy celebrate their favourite film yet again.

While considering the ongoing booking trends and the lukewarm hype among the audiences, the Ghilli re-release has less chances to beat the Day 1 box office collections of Mankatha re-release. The Ajith Kumar starrer, which hit the theatres yet again in January 2026, had collected around ₹3.75 crore at the worldwide box office on Day 1.

However, the lack of active promotions, and the less hype caused by this being the second re-release in a short gap, might slightly impact Ghilli's latest re-run at the theatres.
