World Earth Day: Sony SAB Artists Champion Sustainability And Responsibility

Mumbai, 15th April 2026: World Earth Day is a reminder that the planet we call home needs our care, attention, and responsibility every single day. From conserving resources and reducing waste to simply being more mindful of our surroundings, even the smallest actions can create a meaningful impact. It's a day that encourages people to reconnect with nature and reflect on their role in preserving it for future generations. This year, Sony SAB artists Iqbal Khan, Gulki Joshi, Muskan Bamne, Karuna Pandey, and Sumbul Touqeer Khan share their thoughts on what Earth Day means to them and how they try to contribute in their own ways.

Iqbal Khan, playing the role of Dr. Dev in Yaadein, shares, "World Earth Day is a reminder that the planet we call home is not something we own, but something we are entrusted with. Nature has a way of grounding us, but in our fast-paced routines, we often forget to value it. I believe even small habits, like conserving water or reducing waste, can make a difference if practiced consistently. As individuals, we often underestimate the power of collective action, but if each one of us takes responsibility, the impact can be truly transformative.

Gulki Joshi, playing the role of Srishty in Yaadein, shares, "For me, World Earth Day is personal because I strongly believe that our relationship with nature defines the kind of future we are building. We often look for large-scale solutions, but the truth is that change starts at home, from the way we consume, to the way we dispose and even the way we think. I try to be mindful by making eco-friendly choices wherever possible. The Earth gives us so much without asking for anything in return, the least we can do is take care of it with sincerity and gratitude."

Muskan Bamne, playing the role of Shanaya in Pushpa Impossible, shares, "I feel that our generation has both the opportunity and responsibility to create a better future for the planet. World Earth Day is not just about celebrating nature, but also about reflecting on our habits and understanding how they impact the planet. I've started making small changes in my daily life, like avoiding single-use plastics and being more conscious about waste, and it has made me realise that sustainable living is actually very achievable. If each of us takes one step forward, it can lead to meaningful change."

Karuna Pandey, playing the role of Pushpa in Pushpa Impossible, shares, "I believe caring for the environment begins with being conscious in our daily lives. You don't have to do everything at once, just start with small, mindful steps. Carrying your own bag, saving electricity or even planting something can create a connection with nature. Once you feel that connection, your approach naturally changes. World Earth Day is a reminder that consistency matters more
than perfection. Every effort, no matter how small, truly counts."
