Hari Hara Veera Mallu Producer AM Rathnam Not Unwell, Confirms Family Amid Health Rumours

AM Rathnam's brother A. Dayakar Rao dismisses hospitalization rumours: In response to recent speculation regarding producer A.M. Rathnam's health, his family has stepped forward to refute the claims and assure the public that he is in good health. The producer, best known for backing the upcoming historical epic Hari Hara Veera Mallu, was the subject of online rumors alleging that he had fallen unconscious and was hospitalized in critical condition.

However, Rathnam's younger brother and fellow producer, A. Dayakar Rao, issued a public statement dismissing the reports as baseless. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Dayakar Rao wrote:
"Don't believe the rumors about Annayya @AMRathnamOfl falling unconscious. He is perfectly healthy and doing well. Please avoid spreading misinformation."

The clarification comes amid growing concern among fans and industry insiders, especially with the release of Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 drawing near. The film, which stars Pawan Kalyan as the legendary outlaw Veera Mallu, has been in the making for several years and has faced numerous production delays.

Period drama faces delays, now set for June 12 release

Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and A. M. Jyothi Krishna, the film is set in the 17th-century Mughal era and follows Veera Mallu as he is assigned a mission to steal the famed Koh-i-Noor diamond. The cast also includes Bobby Deol, Nidhhi Agerwal, Nargis Fakhri, and Nora Fatehi. The film's screenplay is penned by Jagarlamudi along with Sai Madhav Burra, and music is composed by M. M. Keeravani.

Originally announced in early 2020, Hari Hara Veera Mallu began shooting in September of the same year. However, the film encountered a series of delays-initially due to the COVID-19 pandemic and later owing to Pawan Kalyan's commitments in politics. Though it was first slated for a Sankranti release in January 2022, the date was pushed several times. The most recent postponement has now set the film's release for 12 June 2025.

While the project has faced multiple hurdles, the production team has consistently reassured fans of its progress. With speculation around AM Rathnam's health now addressed, attention is expected to shift back to the film's final promotional phase and upcoming release.
