Saiyaara OTT Update: YRF Joins Netflix for the First Time, Know More

The romantic drama Saiyaara stars Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda in the lead roles, bringing fresh on-screen chemistry to this much‑loved YRF film. Directed by Aditya Chopra, the movie features soulful music composed by Pritam, with heartfelt lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The cinematography is helmed by Manoj Lobo, capturing the film’s vibrant emotions, while Rameshwar S. Bhagat handles the editing. But with Saiyaara, the partnership takes a new turn, as it becomes the first YRF film to stream on Netflix. Until now, YRF’s theatrical releases were exclusively available on Amazon Prime Video, making this a significant shift in their OTT strategy. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the OTT release of Saiyaara, which has already created a massive buzz since its theatrical run. While an early report hinted at a second‑week of September release, later updates suggest that the film’s strong box office performance may have prompted the makers to delay its digital premiere.

Saiyaara tells the tale of Krish Kapoor, the rebellious “bad boy of music,” and Vaani, a reserved and thoughtful writer. Their romance is marked by passionate highs, testing lows, and an unexpected twist that changes everything. While some viewers have drawn comparisons to the Korean classic A Moment to Remember, the film stands apart with its own unique narrative and distinctive elements, blending familiarity with originality.

On Sunday, the 17th day of its theatrical run, Saiyaara earned ₹8 crore at the box office. Though this marked a sharp fall from its second Sunday haul of ₹30 crore, it was still higher than Saturday’s ₹6.75 crore and Friday’s ₹4.5 crore. According to Sacnilk, the film’s total domestic collection now stands at an impressive ₹299.75 crore.
