This Week’s Must-Watch Releases (2–8 June): From Housefull 5 to Chhal Kapat and Bhool Chuk Maaf, Theatres & OTT Are Buzzing

Housefull 5 releases in theatres on 6 June 2025. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, this comedy-mystery is set on a cruise where chaos unfolds over a murder and an inheritance dispute. The film features Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Jacqueline Fernandez, and many more in a star-studded cast. With two different climaxes screened in separate theatres, it promises double the madness and entertainment!

Directed by Karan Tejpal, Stolen is a gripping crime thriller that delves into the harrowing tale of a child's abduction. Starring Abhishek Banerjee and Mia Maelzer, the film explores themes of justice and morality against the backdrop of rural India. With its intense narrative and powerful performances, Stolen is set to captivate audiences worldwide. Stolen will Premiere on Amazon Prime Video from 4th June 2025. 

Chhal Kapat: The Deception is an upcoming ZEE5 thriller set to release in 6 June 2025. Starring Shriya Pilgaonkar as Inspector Devika, the series follows a tense murder investigation at a wedding where nine guests become suspects. As secrets unravel, Devika must expose the truth behind the crime in this gripping whodunit.

Bhool Chuk Maaf, starring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on 6 June 2025, just two weeks after its theatrical release on 23 May. This expedited OTT debut follows a legal dispute between Maddock Films and PVR Inox over the film's release strategy. The movie, directed by Karan Sharma, is a sci-fi romantic comedy featuring a time-loop twist, and has garnered positive reviews for its unique storyline and performances.

After a successful theatrical run, the action-packed drama Jaat makes its OTT debut. Featuring Sunny Deol as Brigadier Baldev Pratap Singh and Randeep Hooda as the formidable antagonist Ranatunga, the film portrays a gripping battle between good and evil in a coastal village. Directed by Gopichand Malineni, Jaat promises high-octane action and compelling storytelling. According to the reports Jaat will stream on Netflix from 5 June. 

Lafangey is an upcoming comedy web series directed by Prem Mistry and Abhishek Yadav, featuring Gagan Arora, Harsh Beniwal and Anud Singh Dhaka in lead roles. Lafangey revolves around three childhood friends — Chaitanya, Rohan, and Kamlesh set out on their own paths, navigating the twists of adulthood while holding on to the bond that shaped them and the growth that defines them. Lafangey is all set to premiere on Amazon MX Player on 6th June 2025.
