He did his studies in various places like Vijayawada, Nellore and Tirupati as his father used to get transferred very frequently. He joined a college in Jubilee Hills to pursue EAMCET long term in 1995. He enrolled in Madhu Film Institute and completed a course in acting. The actor rates his performance in director Neela Kanta a's Virodhi as one of his best performances till date.
