Soubin Shahir is an Indian actor, Director and Producer who has worked predominantly in Malayalam and Tamil movie industries. He is known for his role 'PT Sir' in the Mega hit film Premam, directed by Alphonse Puthran in 2015. The film was one of the biggest hits of 2015, it broke the record of the film 'Banglore days'. Soubin Shahir has worked in popular movies like Kumbalangi Nights, Sudani From Nigeria, etc
Personal Life
He was born in Kochi, Kerala in 1983. He is the son of assistant director and controller Babu Shahir. Soubin married Jamia Zaheer in 2017 and welcomed their first baby in 2019.
Career Life
Soubin Shahir stepped into the film industry as an assistant director in the film 'Chronic Bhachelor' in 2003. The actor made his first debut with'Annayum Rasoolum 'in 2013. It was one of the best romantic -tragedy movies in Malayalam, directed by Rajiv Ravi. Soubin appeared in a supporting role in the film since there he acted in serveral movies like ABCD(2013), Premam(2015), Charlie(2015), Maheshintea Prathikaram(2016) and many more.
Soubin has assisted several directors such as Fazil, Siddique, Rafi-Mecartin, P. Sukumar, Santhosh Sivan, Rajeev Ravi and Amal Neerad. He became part of the movies such as Rani Padmini(2015), Hello Namasthea(2016), Dravintea Parinamam (2016)Anuraga Karikkin Vellam(2016). Soubin made his first directorial debut with his film Parava(2017), which is produced by Anwar Rasheed.
In 2018, the actor won Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor for his incredible performance in the film 'Nigerian From Sudani'. Soubin Shahir was last seen in the film 'Bro Daddy'released in 2022.
