Rachel Story

Rachel is a Malayalam thriller drama directed by Anandini Bala, featuring Honey Rose in the lead role.

The story and screenplay are penned by Rahul Manappattu, along with Abrid Shine. In addition to Honey Rose, the movie "Rachel" also features Babu Raj and Chandu Salimkumar. Presented by Abrid Shine and co-produced by Badusha NM and Shinoy Mathew, the film is produced under Pen and Paper Creations and Badusha Productions. Ankit Menon scores the music, Swaroop Philip handles the cinematography, and Manoj is in charge of editing.

Movie Plot
It narrates the story of an unmarried meat butcher, a woman who has spent her entire life working tirelessly in a male-dominated job. Her days begin before sunrise, surrounded by the raw realities of her trade, the sounds, the weight of labor, and the quiet perseverance it demands. Despite her strength, she battles loneliness, societal judgment, and the silent ache of unfulfilled dreams. Her struggle isn’t just about survival, it’s about dignity, identity, and the longing to be seen beyond her work. The film gently uncovers her inner world: her hidden vulnerabilities, her small moments of joy, and the unspoken resilience that keeps her moving forward even when life offers her little comfort.
