Marshal Story
Marshal is an upcoming Tamil action film directed by Tamizh, best known for Taanakkaran. The film stars Karthi and Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead roles, with an ensemble cast that includes Sathyaraj, Prabhu, Lal, Easwari Rao, Murali Sharma, and John Kokken in significant roles.
The movie is produced by S. R. Prakash Babu and S. R. Prabhu under Dream Warrior Pictures, in collaboration with Ivy Entertainment and B4U Motion Pictures. Music is composed by Sai Abhyankkar, while cinematography is handled by Sathyan Sooryan ISC. Editing responsibilities are taken up by Philomin Raj, ensuring a technically strong film.
Production Update
The film, initially referred to as Karthi 29, was officially titled Marshal and went on floors with a formal pooja ceremony on July 10, 2025. Set in the 1960s–70s backdrop of Rameshwaram, Marshal is being made as a sea-based period action drama. The film is planned to release in two parts.
Release Date
Marshal is expected to hit theaters in 2026. Although an earlier release was considered, the two-part production has extended the timeline.
